Whitney Feld honored for professional achievements

2014 Nov 19

The Miami University Alumni Association (MUAA) recently named Whitney Feld of Cincinnati (45215) to its 2014 "18 Of the Last 9" class, which highlights 18 young alumni from Miami University's past nine graduating classes.

A play on the year 1809, the year of Miami University's chartering in Oxford, Ohio, the "18 Of the Last 9" program is an MUAA initiative that recognizes exceptional young alumni who are actively pursuing lofty personal and professional endeavors since graduating from Miami nine (or fewer) years ago. Based on the "30 under 30" model, this year's 18 honorees were selected from a pool of more than 130 nominees representing the graduating Classes of 2005-2013 for their profound professional impact and achievements after leaving Miami.

"The '18 Of the Last 9' program exemplifies what the Miami Experience is all about," Ray Mock, executive director of MUAA, said. "This year's honorees, the 130 nominees for this year's honoree class and so many of our young alumni are using their education, student involvement and personal experiences at Miami to make their respective mark on the world in which we live. Add to that the fact that they're doing it only nine years (or fewer) removed from college, and it's truly remarkable."

A special reception formally recognizing Feld was held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 on Miami's Oxford campus.
