San Diego, Calif. resident Julia Hursh to study in Kenya

San Diego, Calif. (92107) resident Julia Hursh, a master's student in the Global Field Program (GFP) from Miami University's Project Dragonfly, will travel to Kenya in summer 2014 to study wildlife and people in integrated landscapes.

As a student in the master's program, Hursh has also traveled to Baja to study field methods in desert and marine ecosystems. Hursh has traveled to Borneo to study primate conservation. Hursh is a senior animal trainer at San Diego Zoo.

Since the program began 10 years ago, Earth Expeditions graduate courses from Miami University's Project Dragonfly have engaged more than 1,500 people in firsthand educational and scientific research at critical conservation field sites in Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas.
