El Cajon, Calif., resident Rhiannon Schultz from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Killer Conservation: the implications of disease on gorilla conservation" in BioRisk, a peer-reviewed journal in ecology and biodiversity science.

In the article Schultz investigates the impact of disease on gorilla populations

Schultz, a safari experiences guide at San Diego Zoo Global, is a graduate of Miami University through Project Dragonfly's Advanced Inquiry Program. As a student in the AIP, Schultz took courses on the web from Miami University while also participating in experiential learning and field study at San Diego Zoo Global.

The AIP master's degree is a web-based program offered by Miami University with groundbreaking experiential learning and community engagement opportunities at affiliated AIP Master Institutions in in Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, San Diego and Seattle
