Miami University's Louis Belpedio Named Preseason All-NCHC

Miami University student-athlete Louis Belpedio was named Preseason All-National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

The announcement came just weeks after he was bestowed the Miami hockey team's captaincy for 2016-17. He is the only RedHawk to earn the honor.

Belpedio, from Skokie, is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Sport Leadership & Management.

Miami University student-athletes finished the spring 2016 semester with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.21, the highest GPA ever for a single semester. Overall, nearly 40 percent (189 of 490) of the RedHawks finished with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and 38 of those student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA.
