Miami University Student Rebecca Jorgensen Honored at Competition

Miami University student Rebecca Jorgensen was recognized at an annual undergraduate economics paper competition in April. The competition was hosted by Bowling Green.

Jorgensen's paper, "Moving 'Pabst' the Protests: Was Act 10 Necessary Monopoly Regulations or Political Union-Busting?" won second place.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio. The university is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for its commitment to undergraduate teaching and is the number one college town according to Forbes.

Jorgensen is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics.
