Miami University Student Rachel Berry Awarded National Merit Scholarship

Miami University first-year student Rachel Berry was awarded a National Merit Scholarship. The awards provide $500 to $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Berry, from Chesterfield (63017), is earning a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Professional Writing.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio. The university is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for its commitment to undergraduate teaching and is the number one college town according to Forbes.
