Miami University Student Monica Fernandez Volunteers in El Salvador

Miami University student Monica Fernandez spent the winter term volunteering in El Salvador with Habitat for Humanity.

Fernandez is from Westerville.

The volunteers traveled to the village of Canton Marquezado and spent a week building a 4-person home for a family.

Fernandez is earning a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Biology.
