Miami University Student Marcelo******* Jorge******* Receives Undergraduate Research Award

Marcelo******* Jorge*******, a zoology***** major from Crystal Lake, IL (60012), is the recipient of a Spring 2012 Undergraduate Research Award from Miami University.

The award provides support for student research and creative projects. *Jorge worked with fellow student Ethan Lindenbaum, with Kathleen* Killian, professor of Zoology* on the project Dopamine Involvement in Insect Hydrocarbon Development.

The Undergraduate Research Award (URA) program is sponsored by Miami's office for the advancement of research and scholarship. It provides support for student research and creative projects, and provides experience in developing grant applications. Typical awards range from $150 to $500, but individual or group projects of exceptional merit may be funded up to $1,000.
