Miami University Student Lauren Goldie Awarded National Merit Scholarship

Miami University first-year student Lauren Goldie was awarded a National Merit Scholarship. The awards provide $500 to $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Goldie, from Akron (44319), is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio. The university is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for its commitment to undergraduate teaching and is the number one college town according to Forbes.
