Miami University Student-Athlete Alexus Jimson-Miller Named Academic All-MAC

Miami University student-athlete Alexus Jimson-Miller has been named to the Academic All-Mid-American-Conference team. A league-high 33 members of Miami's track and field team earned a spot on this year's team.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

Jimson-Miller, from Danville, is earning a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology & Health majoring in Health Promotion.

Miami University student-athletes finished the spring 2017 semester with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.31, the second highest GPA ever for a single semester. Overall, nearly 67 percent of the RedHawks finished with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and 40 of those student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA.
