Miami University Student Alexander Waldherr Recognized with 2016-17 Inspiring Service Award

2017 Jul 21

Alexander Waldherr is one of four Miami University students to be recognized with a 2016-17 Inspiring Service Award.

The 2016-17 Inspiring Service Awards were created with a special emphasis to connect personal and collective community service with progress toward the UN Global Goals. The awards are attainment based, using service hours as a measure for contribution of time, energy, and talent invested in the causes you care about.

Waldherr is from Elmhurst, earning a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Microbiology and Premedical Studies.

Miami University was 1 of only 5 universities in the nation to receive the Presidential Award in the 2012 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. In 2013, Miami received an honor roll placement with distinction. Miami has been named to The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll every year since 2007.
