Miami University Senior Brittany Smith Honored by United Way of Oxford

Miami University senior Brittany Smith received an Unsung Hero Award from United Way of Oxford.

Smith is earning her B.S. in Kinesiology & Health majoring in Public Health.

She won the College Student Award for her work with the Coalition for a Healthy Community, a local organization that supports initiatives to promote the Oxford community.

The United Way of Oxford recognizes local community heroes committed to advancing the common good.

Miami University was 1 of only 5 universities in the nation to receive the Presidential Award in the 2012 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. In 2013, Miami received an honor roll placement with distinction. Miami has been named to The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll every year since 2007.
