Miami University RedHawk Signs Entry-Level NHL Contract

Miami University RedHawk Anthony Louis has signed an entry-level deal with the Chicago Blackhawks, giving him a shot at making an NHL roster in the fall.

Louis, a Winfield native, earned his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Sport Leadership & Management.

Miami University student-athletes finished the spring 2016 semester with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.21, the highest GPA ever for a single semester. Overall, nearly 40 percent (189 of 490) of the RedHawks finished with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and 38 of those student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA.
