Megan McCulloch fosters community change through collaborative leadership endeavor

Galloway, Ohio (43119) resident Megan McCulloch, a graduate student in the Global Field Program (GFP) from Miami University's Project Dragonfly, was awarded a Leadership badge from the university for demonstrating collaborative leadership skills that have helped bring about positive change in her community.

Through her Leadership in Science Inquiry course project entitled "Redefining Our World: Holding a Nature Night at South Vienna Middle School," McCulloch coordinated and implemented an Earth Day event known as Nature Night, showcasing student experiences and providing guests with the opportunity to learn about local resources and nature hobbies. McCulloch is a science teacher at South Vienna Middle School.

The GFP master's degree is designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings who are interested in inquiry-driven education, environmental stewardship and global understanding.
