Madison Knock Named Academic All-MAC

Miami University student-athlete Madison Knock has earned Academic All-Mid-American-Conference recognition. Twelve members of Miami's soccer team earned a spot on this year's team.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

Knock, from Avon, is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology.

Miami University student-athletes finished the spring 2016 semester with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.21, the highest GPA ever for a single semester. Overall, nearly 40 percent (189 of 490) of the RedHawks finished with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and 38 of those student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA.
