Lindsey Collinsworth from Miami University's Project Dragonfly publishes original work

Morro Bay, Calif., resident Lindsey Collinsworth from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Ethnobotany and Millennial Volunteers: Connecting a new generation with old knowledge" in Public Garden, a quarterly magazine of the American Public Gardens Association offering content devoted to the world of botanic gardens, arboreta and other horticultural institutions.

In the article Collinsworth shares ethnobotanical education with millennials.

Collinsworth, education director for San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden, is a graduate of Miami University through Project Dragonfly's Global Field Program (GFP). As a student in the GFP, Collinsworth traveled to Baja, Costa Rica and Guyana, while also conducting projects that have made a difference in the Morro Bay area.

The GFP master's degree and Earth Expeditions courses are designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings interested in making a difference in human and ecological communities. Applicants can be from anywhere in the United States or abroad.
