Lauren Misel Selected for Alternative Spring Break Leadership Conference

Miami University student Lauren Misel was selected to participate in an alternative spring break leadership conference.

Forty-seven students traveled to both Columbus and Washington, D.C., with the Miami University Government Relations Network to participate in the conference, giving them experience in the world of government legislation.

They discussed important issues like research, higher education in Ohio, budgetary matters and their Miami experiences with legislators and staff.

Misel is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Medical Laboratory Science, Premedical Studies.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio. The university is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for its commitment to undergraduate teaching and is the number one college town according to Forbes.
