Kimberly Laizer from Miami University's Project Dragonfly publishes original work

Yosemite, Calif., resident Kimberly Laizer from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Empowerment and education The Naiyobi Women's Project" in International Teacher Magazine, an online resource that gives international teachers an opportunity to express their views and share their experiences.

In the article Laizer helps support women's development in Naiyobi and the Naiyobi Women's Project .

Laizer, education manager for NatureBridge, is a current Miami University master's student through Project Dragonfly's Global Field Program (GFP). As a student in the GFP, Laizer traveled to Baja, Guyana and Borneo, while also conducting projects that have made a difference in the Yosemite area.

The GFP master's degree and Earth Expeditions courses are designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings interested in making a difference in human and ecological communities. Applicants can be from anywhere in the United States or abroad.
