Joseph Tarkington Picks Miami University

Local resident Joseph Tarkington is one of nearly 600 Chicago area high school students who has chosen to study at Miami University in southwest Ohio.

Recently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for its "unusually strong commitment" to teaching, Miami offers degrees in more than 120 areas of study.

Miami students have nearly endless opportunities to study abroad, research and pursue hundreds of co-curricular activities.

Evanston student Tarkington helped Miami once again welcome the most academically accomplished incoming class in the university's 209-year history.

Tarkington is a Junior, earning a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology.
