Jennifer Stover from Miami University's Project Dragonfly publishes original work

Diboll, Texas, resident Jennifer Stover from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Protecting Pineapple" in IZE Journal, a publication of the International Zoo Educators Association that focuses on conservation, interpretation and zoo education.

In the article Stover examines the use of "Pineapple" the pine snake for hands-on educational programming at Texas' Ellen Trout Zoo.

Stover, a science teacher at Lufkin Middle School, is a graduate of Miami University through Project Dragonfly's Global Field Program (GFP). As a student in the GFP, Stover traveled to Baja, Costa Rica and Guyana, while also conducting projects that have made a difference in the Diboll area.

The GFP master's degree and Earth Expeditions courses are designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings interested in making a difference in human and ecological communities. Applicants can be from anywhere in the United States or abroad.
