Emma Lipscomb is one of eight students to receive a Bob and Barbara Williams Leadership Scholarship from Miami University.

Emma Lipscomb of West Chester, Ohio 45069 was one of eight students to receive the 2014 Bob and Barbara Williams Leadership Scholarship through Miami University's Paper Science and Engineering Foundation. Lipscomb is a 2012 Lakota East High School graduate, is a sophmore chemical engineering major with dual concentrations in paper science and biochemical.

This prestigious award is presented to students in the paper science and engineering curriculum in recognition of their leadership, creativity, and academic achievements. Recipients were selected by a committee of engineering faculty and Paper Science and Engineering Foundation staff. Winners received a $13,000 full tuition scholarship thanks to the generosity of The Bob and Barbara Williams Foundation.

Lipscomb's contributions to Miami include serving as president of the student chapter of Miami American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Lipscomb is also a member of the Honors Program and Student Technical Association of Pulp & Paper Industries. This past summer she interned with RockTenn Company.
