Dave Coulter from Miami University's Project Dragonfly publishes original work

Oak Park, Ill., resident Dave Coulter from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Adapting Sample Hedgerow Design Templates to Improve Biodiversity in Urban Landscapes" in The Harbinger, a newsletter of the Illinois Native Plant Society.

In the article Coulter examines the possible roles for new and existing hedgerow plantings for addressing contemporary environmental problems.

Coulter, the owner of Osage Inc, is a graduate of Miami University through Project Dragonfly's Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP). As a student in the AIP, Coulter took courses on the web from Miami University while also participating in experiential learning and field study at Chicago Zoological Society's Brookfield Zoo.

The AIP master's degree is a web-based program offered by Miami University with experiential learning and community engagement opportunities at affiliated AIP Master Institutions in Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, San Diego and Seattle.
