Conservation leader Danae Shipp finishing master's studies

Cary, N.C., resident Danae Shipp has been applying the tools of science, education and conservation to become a leader in the conservation community. In mid-December 2017, Shipp is expected to conclude her master's course of study with a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in the Biological Sciences from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.

Since joining the Global Field Program (GFP) master's in 2015, Shipp has traveled to Baja, Hawai'i and Kenya and conducted projects that have made a difference in the Cary area.

Shipp works as a science teacher at Cary Academy.

The GFP master's degree and Earth Expeditions courses are designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings interested in making a difference in human and ecological communities.
