Columbus, Ohio resident Michelle Harris to study in Thailand

Columbus, Ohio (43221) resident Michelle Harris, a master's student in the Global Field Program (GFP) from Miami University's Project Dragonfly, will travel to Thailand in summer 2014 to study Buddhism and conservation.

As a student in the master's program, Harris has also traveled to Belize to study approaches to environmental stewardship. Harris has traveled to Guyana and Costa Rica to study local wisdom and conservation and neotropical ecology. Harris is founder of and educator at Green Matter.

Since the program began 10 years ago, Earth Expeditions graduate courses from Miami University's Project Dragonfly have engaged more than 1,500 people in firsthand educational and scientific research at critical conservation field sites in Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas.
