Cincinnati, Ohio resident Samantha McDonald to study in Australia

Cincinnati, Ohio (45255) resident Samantha McDonald, a master's student in the Global Field Program (GFP) from Miami University's Project Dragonfly, will travel to Australia in summer 2014 to study the ecology of the Great Barrier Reef.

As a student in the master's program, McDonald has also traveled to Baja to study field methods in desert and marine ecosystems. McDonald has traveled to Borneo to study primate conservation. McDonald is an educator at the Zoological Society of Cincinnati .

Since the program began 10 years ago, Earth Expeditions graduate courses from Miami University's Project Dragonfly have engaged more than 1,500 people in firsthand educational and scientific research at critical conservation field sites in Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas.
