Chelsea Weaver from Miami University's Project Dragonfly publishes original work

Columbus, Ohio, resident Chelsea Weaver from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Environmental Rewards Points? Examining the Palm Oil Crisis and Brainstorming for Change" in Animal Keepers' Forum, the American Association of Zoo Keepers' publication dedicated to professional animal care.

In the article Weaver examines the palm oil crisis.

Weaver, a zoo keeper at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, is a graduate of Miami University through Project Dragonfly's Global Field Program (GFP). As a student in the GFP, Weaver traveled to Baja, Borneo and Kenya, while also conducting projects that have made a difference in the Columbus area.

The GFP master's degree and Earth Expeditions courses are designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings interested in making a difference in human and ecological communities. Applicants can be from anywhere in the United States or abroad.
