Cameron Williams Named Goldwater Scholar

Miami University student Cameron Williams has received a Goldwater Scholarship for his undergraduate research efforts.

The prestigious scholarship is the premier undergraduate award of its type in the fields of mathematics, natural science and engineering.

Nationwide, faculty nominated 1,150 students for the one- and two-year scholarships, worth up to a maximum of $7,500 per year.

Williams is one of seven students at an Ohio public university to be honored by the Goldwater Foundation Scholarship Program and one of three at Miami.

Williams, from Hamilton, is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry.
