Benjamin Collings receives political science award at Miami University

Benjamin Collings a political science and international studies major from Sabina, Ohio (45169) at Miami University, was awarded the Howard White Award by Miami's political science department for excelling in scholarship and leadership.

Miami's political science department held its annual recognition ceremony for outstanding juniors and seniors Thursday, April 14, in the lobby of Harrison Hall. Participating in the ceremony was Darrell West (Miami '76), a former award recipient, currently vice president and director of governance studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington. After the presentation of awards, West gave a talk on "Obama, the Republicans, and the Tea Party."
