Austin Ellis Awarded National Merit Scholarship to Attend Miami University

Incoming Miami University first-year student Austin Ellis has been awarded a National Merit Scholarship.

Ellis is earning a Bachelor of Music majoring in Music Performance.

Students earning a National Merit Scholarship are selected from a pool of more than 1.5 million high school juniors who enter the competition.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio. The university is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report for its commitment to undergraduate teaching and is the number one college town according to Forbes.
