Ashleigh O'Meara Attends Ohio Statewide Conference

Ashleigh O'Meara of Eaton, OH 45320 a public administration major and student in Miami's Public Policy Analysis Capstone was one of 24 students selected to participate in the Ohio Township Association Annual Conference.

According to Dr. Philip A. Russo, Director of Miami's Center for Public Policy and Regional Affairs, "the conference presented opportunities to attend policy related panels and workshops and interact directly with elected state/local government officials."

In addition, Dr. Russo arranged a series of private briefings with Representative Tim Derickson, (53rd House District); Mike Ditto, Director of Communications Ohio House of Representatives; Chris Woolard, Research and Evaluation Manager at Ohio Department of Education; and Tom Willsey, First Vice President of the Ohio Township Association.

Ashleigh is a graduate of Eaton.

The Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs (CPMRA) engages in applied public policy and management research, technical assistance services, training and education, and database development in the areas of public management and capacity building, local government economic development, planning, and public program evaluation and policy research. The Center provides assistance to local governments (counties, municipalities, and townships) in southwestern Ohio and across the state.
