Aimee Cleary from Miami University's Project Dragonfly publishes original work

Jakarta, Indonesia, resident Aimee Cleary from Miami University's Project Dragonfly has published an original article titled "Citizenship-building via Marine Debris Surveys" in Green Teacher, a quarterly magazine dedicated to helping educators promote environmental awareness.

In the article Cleary empowers teens to become environmental stewards through socio-ecological mapping and data collection.

Cleary, a science teacher at the Jakarta Intercultural School, is a current Miami University master's student through Project Dragonfly's Global Field Program (GFP). As a student in the GFP, Cleary traveled to Baja, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands, while also conducting projects that have made a difference in Jakarta.

The GFP master's degree and Earth Expeditions courses are designed for educators and other professionals from all disciplines and settings interested in making a difference in human and ecological communities. Applicants can be from anywhere in the United States or abroad.
